VWA in black with award certificate Grenadier-regiment 258 (Pz.Jg)
Original German Verwundetenabzeichen in black with accompanying award certificate. The Verwundetenabzeichen in black is not maker marked and in good condition. The award certificate is in the name of grenadier Willi Meyer, he was at the time of issue (11 October 1943) with the 14.(Pz.Jg.) Grenadier-regiment 258. He was wounded for the first time on 25 September 1943 (presumably east of Kiev) and was awarded the verwundetenabzeichen in black for this. The award certificate contains a stamp of grenadier regiment 258 and is signed by the oberst and regiment commander.
The regiment fought from August 1943 to September 1943 east of Kiev and Dnjepr and suffered enormous losses here, Willi was probably also wounded here.
